One day writer Haruki Murakami sit at the table and wrote first lines of novel “Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage”‘. The author himself didn’t know where the story will go. He didn’t had plan at all and so, he had been writing this book more than half a year.

Tsukuru Tazaki is a thirty six years old. In the school times he belonged to the harmonious group of five persons where all members had colorfully names: White, Black, Red, Blue.  Because of that sometimes Tsukuru felt like the black sheep of the family. However, all of them, including Tsukuru, are necessary for the group like the five fingers of the hand. But one summer day for some reasons, all four members of the group decided to drop out Tsukuru from the group. Tsukuru was shocked and even thought about suicide. He starts to believe that he is colorless and begins to drift away from his surroundings. After sixteen years Tsukuru manages to find a lover but the scars from the past are still fresh in his hearth. So, he decides to visit his past friends to expose the truth why he was drop out from the group.

In the book you can see the battle between the colorless Tsukuru and other colorful characters. What will happen to the Tsukuru Tazaki? Maybe love will fill his emptiness? What means to have a color or be colorless? If Tsukuru Tazaki will be able to gain a color of his own ? Or maybe he will learn to accept colorless people?
