During the Japanese and Jewish cultural workshops, held in the lobby of the VMU Great Hall on the 7th of September, we will focus on the cultural and economical state relationships. Here we will host a buzzing Arts and Crafts Fair.
In this exceptional event we will have representatives from the Gifu Prefecture and Yaotsu city (Japan), who will reveal the potential of their region and present the specialties and features of the prefecture. The Jewish heritage will be presented by a Bagel shop from Vilnius, which will treat us to delicious kosher meals. Those who are interested will have a chance to learn how to make them themselves. The Lithuanian heritage will be presented by the Salon “Cosy Homes” („Jaukūs namai”), who will demonstrate exceptional linen articles, as well as an educational program “The Linen Road”. We are also expecting guests from the museum of Zanavykai, who will allow us to touch candles made out of natural beeswax and will present the Lithuanian national garb.
We are happy to announce that we will be joined by a folklore ensemble “Dailingė”, as well as “Japoko” (a representative of Japanese construction in Lithuania) who will be creating the children’s play area. We will also be joined by “Kauno diena”, “Kaunas In”, publishing company “Aukso pieva”, Ramutė Juršienė, Dr. Ohira’s Japanese produce, “Green Tea”, Dalia’s leather jewellery, a ceramic workshop, “Žvėrėnai” and other organisations that are developing relationships with Japan.
The Fair starts at 15:00 on the 7th of September. The event will close at 18:30.
