This year is the second time when kyokushin karate fighters will start the season in the international competition called “Kaunas Championship 2018”.
Tournament organizers, kyokushin karate clubs “OSU” and “SHORI”, who brought together more than 500 participants last year, this autumn have bigger goals. They want to organize not only a memorable event for fighters on the tatami, but olso encourage people to lend a helping hand for other fighters – those who have every day fight with a disease. Due to this reason “OSU” and “SHORI” have joined forces with “Rimantas Kaukenas’ support group”. The group was established in 2012 and till today helps children with oncological diseases by providing moral and financial support. Thus, this year’s motto “Let’s join the fight together” invites participants fight not only for a medal, but also for someone else’s life. Such a massive event will spread a message about little fighters even further, and will be a reminder that together we can help them to recover.
“Kaunas Championship 2018” will be held on 13 October in Kaunas sports hall. Various athletes coming from Lithuania and from all Europe.
