“The Analects” by Confucius – intellectual work that holds examples of Chinese culture and nation worldview. They are put into philosophical reflection of life. The book is mainly focused on ideology of Confucius and its teaching. As shown at the introduction of the “The Analects”, \” <…> orientation on human senses, the importance of ritual significance, purpose pursuit, the importance of collective responsibility, <…>\” and the other Confucian philosophy principles that had a huge influence in China achievements and development of East Asian countries.
The introduction of the book widely describes Confucianism as a subject. It also introduces basic subjects and terms that helps to understand East Asian culture better. It is also shortly described about history and changes of Confucianism until XX century second decade. Confucius wisdom conveyed through dialog with students and quotations form. The book has two layers. In the first described policy, social welfare and the second is mainly focused on moral values and the questions of the meaning of existence. There are a lot of symbolism in \”The Analects\”. It leaves room for the reader to interpret and adapt the universal precepts in everyday life, real-life situations.
Thoughts presented not as demand, but rather an advice, sometimes – reflection of the storyteller‘s thoughts. Book is based on poets, writers, philosophers and other public figures; human wisdom, history ; there are hints about policy. The text is enriched with tips of wisdom like \”Chose the right way to live, sought for the better, do what is right and feel the beauty of art \” (Confucius \”The Analects\”, p. 130) and \”Don\’t worry if people don\’t recognize your merits; worry that you may not recognize theirs. \” (Confucius \”The Analects\”, p. 107). The book can be interpreted as a spiritual self-help manual. In collected not only Confucius, but also his students ideas about life and virtue of morally perfect human who lives on the basis of the Confucian model .
Confucius – a famous Chinese philosopher, whose teaching had a significant impact on the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese civilizations, cultures, philosophy, societies. (based on Wikipedia.org) Confucian philosophy emphasizes the individual and public morality, the correct maintenance of social relationships, justice. Confucius and his students’ wisdom turned into a system, known in the West as Confucianism. It was described in the Confucius book \”The Analects\” written by the followers of his philosophy. It is believed that Confucius haven‘t published any of his works. It was all done by his students. It is also believed that Confucius was the author and editor of five classic Confucian Canons. But there are doubts that these statements are true.
