Vilnius University Confucius Institute invites all those who are interested in Chinese education before the 20th century to attend public lectures delivered by Prof. Cai Leiluo.

The central theme of lecture is the Chinese historical development. From the “body rituals” to the content of the pre-Qin ritual and music education; Taking the education of the government and private schools as well as the academy of classical learning with Chinese characteristics and the education in the era of imperial examinations as an example; Presenting different aspects of traditional Chinese education; Comprehensively describing the status of traditional education in China; And finally summarizing the characteristics of traditional education in China.

The lecture aims to make the audience understand Chinese traditional education. The content is as follows:
1. Body rituals education
2. Government and private schools
3. Academy of classical learning
4. The era of the imperial examination
5. The characteristics of traditional education in China

Cai Leiluo – Ph.D. in Education at Peking University; Associate Professor at Peking University School of Education; President of Cai Yuanpei Research Institute of Peking University.

Venue: Vilnius University Confucius Institute, Konfucijaus didžioji auditorium (M.K. Čiurlionio g. 21, II korpusas, VU Chemijos ir geomokslų fakulteto kiemelyje).
