On Thursday 12 September, 1.30 p.m., a public lecture will be given at VMU Centre for Research and Studies (23 V. Putvinskio g., Room 311) by Ambassador – Assistant Minister on European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine, Dr. Amal A. Jadou. The politician will also visit the VMU Rector’s Office and meet with the university’s administration.
During the lecture, Dr. Amal A. Jadou will discuss Palestine’s perspective on the two state solution: “Future of the two state solution: Palestinian view”.
The assistant minister is also involved in the matters related to gender equality; she is a member of the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network (MWMN). Amal A. Jadou earned her PhD. at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and was Graduate Fellow and Ph.D. Candidate at Harvard Law School (Program on Negotiation). The diplomat has been the Assistant Minister on European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine since 2012. Her previous work experience includes, among other positions, serving as Deputy Chief of Palestine Liberation Organization’s Mission to the USA and as Foreign Policy Advisor to the President and the Prime Minister.
In Lithuania, Dr. Amal A. Jadou will also meet with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Policy Advisors of the President. The Assistant Minister is also planning to meet with Kaunas City Mayor Visvaldas Matijošaitis, representatives of Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, and the Seimas Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Countries in the Arabian Peninsula Region.
