ABOUT LAURITA & SHONO:
Aleksander Shono – professional Buryat musician, singer and storyteller. He is an outstanding master of throat singing, who plays traditional Buryat and Mongolian instruments and tells ancient legends and uligery in authentic and enchanting way.
Laurita Peleniute – Lithuanian singer who manages to present Lithuanian folk singing as well as national traditions and culture in a new, engaging way. Thanks to her unique talent and charming voice she is able to reveal the code of our ancestor’s heritage, give a new meaning to the oldest songs and take them closer to the modern people.
Two artists in their cooperation manage to combine both primordial Asian and old European way of singing and playing folk music. Boundaries disappear as two flows of ancient traditions merge together.
