More than 70 years have passed since in 1940, Chiune Sugihara together with Dutch consul Jan Zwartendijk finished a short yet extremely important episode of his diplomatic career in Kaunas.Diplomats saved thousands of lives by issuing visas for Jewish people that were then able to escape Lithuania and the Holocaust. We hope you will feel the emotional connection between Lithuania, Japan, The Netherlands and Israel by joining the “Visas for life” guided tour in Kaunas.
The tour is only in Lithuanian.
