“Mr. Thank You” is the nickname given to the kindhearted buss driver by the local residents. He thanks everybody when they let his bus pass on the narrow road. His passengers are like micro cosmos representing Japan during the Great Depression, which creates space for everything: love, comedy and drama.“Arigato-san” is magnificent forgotten Japan’s movie master movie where sincere humanism blends with spectacular attention to detail.
