9th extraordinary cultural festival „nowJapan“ invites everyone to discover Japan. Let‘s meet at the biggest event in the Baltics dedicated to Japanese culture. 9-10th of September in Litexpo the culture and lifestyle of Country of the Rising Sun will flourish before your eyes.
Festival will introduce Japan the way it is now: the synthesis of traditions, modernity and colorful entertainment. Among plenty of shows, creative workshops, presentations, contests, exposition stands, exhibitions, films and animation screenings, everyone will find its own subject to get to know Japan. Visiting artists will present the most relevant and most popular topics from Japanese cities: from animation to Japanese street fashion. The topics will cover insights, what is to be a creative in Japan, what is the price creatives have to pay for society and what is cultural climate in Japan.
Kawaii! Increased family space Yoyogi will present more creative workshops and will teach everyone how to make real japanese souvenirs. The special artistic program will attract younger audience and will let their parents to chill and enjoy the show by themselves.
Sugoi! Entertainment space Akihabara will envite to immerse into manga and anime worlds, test technological gadgets, computer games and inovations of virtual reality.
Oishii! Do you smell japanese food already? We will pay additional attention to this tasty subject, in order for every guest to get a bite of Japan. Literally.
Kakkoi! Probably the most colorful part of the festival – international Cosplay contest. Multicolor Cosplay community and the contest of the best cosplay costumes, most popular games, japanese singers, performers and dancers. All these entertaining activities are waiting for you in the festival.
